Daddy Day 2011

Dear Daddy,

I have so much fun with you. You save me from mommy when we've had enough of each other. You make fart noises to make me laugh - Even when mommy says it's bad manners. You will change my diapers with no complaints...well almost no complaints - those stinky ones get you! You will sing silly songs to me that make no sense, but it's fun because you usually put the word "toot" or "bum" in the songs. You will hang out with me anytime of day...or night. Thanks for keeping mommy sane.

But most of all you just love me.

Happy Dad's Day!

Isla

Starting Summer

We are just loving the Summer. We get to hang out with our BFF Boston and eat some taco soup.
We get to have dinner with Micah's ol' highschool gang.

Watch daddy play some softball with cousin Michael.

We are seriously soaking up some Vitamin D lately.

Camping Fun

We know camping isn't for everyone - but we love it! Imagine no cell phone interruptions, no internet to tempt you to surf, no tv to watch. Just plain ol board games and real conversations with family and friends to keep us entertained.

It was so beautiful every day - I love waking up to a beautiful view everyday like this one:

I loved my childhood. I grew up as a "tomboy" I ran around the mountainside shooting birds and chipmunks with pellet guns. I can ride dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and four wheelers. I can stay up in the mountains and have as much fun as a week at a beach.

It's the one place I can go makeup free and not feel ugly. The preferred look is a dirt mustache from all the dust while you are on the four wheelers.

Don't get me wrong I love showers and getting all dressed up. But when I can keep with my husband and explore trails it makes me feel young again.

But the one thing I don't do is tent camping. We are fifth-wheel campers with a bathroom and water to keep us "semi-clean", generator to watch a dvd at night, and keep the a/c going if it's 100 degrees. And a mattress to sleep on at night. Hmmmm...now that I think about it maybe we aren't really "campers".

All I know is Isla will be growing up camping - so I hope she'll love it as much as I did. And good thing I married a man that loves loves LOVES to be up in the mountains. In fact I think he would be a mountain man if I would let him.

And did I forget to mention S'MORES?? They'll be the death of me. Yummmmmmy.

Long Lost Photos

I've been wanting to post these photos...but you know how it goes, I got busy then I just forgot...So better late than never! This is the day I went into the hospital, my last prego pic. Seems so long ago... Ugh. For most of the labor pics I was smiling - the ones where you know the hubby has the camera out, so you stop and shoot him a quick smile - but the other majority of the time is spent trying to "relax" through the contractions pretty sure I was thinking "alright tawni you can do this. here we go. oh geesh i'm going to be having a baby. ok ok focus...1,2,3,4,5, ugghhhhh" Here's our Halloween photo. Isla was a very masculine football. Basically it was cheap and it was a very warm bunting. Here's my BFF from college highschool 8th grade -Shaughnessy and her baby boy Ryon. They met us up at the HYPER field while Micah was playing an alumni Lacrosse game. Ryon gave her some lovin' Her cousin Kairie and Grandma Maisie giving Isla some kisses. Too cute ;) Micah's family got together for Mother's Day (now I can be in the mommy pic!!) Here's all the girls - minus Micah's other sister Brittany - I just love my in-laws. Hopefully I can start organizing and backing up our other pictures. Since Isla was born I feel overwhelmed with how many pictures there are! How do you guys keep your photographs organized??
