11 Months Old
22 lbs
29 in
3 teeth

Loves: putting on her own shoes, shirts, shorts. Books. Baby Einstein. Noodles. Jabbering. Singing. Squealing. Giving kisses. High Fives. Snuggles. Standing. Walking Along the furniture. Walks. Swinging.

Loves playing with her cousins:

Loves her Colorado Casualty Lion Daddy brought home.

We have so much fun with her - she giggles at the silliest things, and is starting to venture out by herself and play for long spaces of time by herself.

We've been neglecting the blog! It must be Summer because you can always find Isla in her carrier hiking around with us.

Traveling up to Logan to help Grandpa Kenny with computer stuff....ok she more bangs on the keyboard and shoves it off the desk. But it's alright, because Grandpa K says it's ok, and I can do whatever I want with him.

She is also crawling everywhere trying to keep up with BFF Boston. Pulling herself up everywhere, walking along the furniture, and all that jazz.

We just love being around her, she is a very happy thing and still has her chunky cheeks!

8 Months Old!

8 Months Old

She has 2 teeth that appeared this week.

She crawled for the first time on Monday.

She pulls herself up on mommy all the time.

She's the best thing that we get to wake up to everyday.

One of her BFF's is Boston.

Boston just finished his ritz cracker and crawled on over to Isla to see if he could butter her up to give him hers.

Isla: "Oh, hey Boston. Do you want THIS cracker?"

"Ok, I'll feed it to you."

Boston: "Ugh. That was hard work trying to get a bite of a cracker. I'll roll on over and get a drink from my sippy cup."

Isla is loving her friends - but sometimes she has to warm up to them. For some reason she gets really upset that someone is in her territory. Then she gets over it and decides she can relax and play.

I think she knows that she's loved:

She loves seeing herself in the oven. She even gives herself kisses:

Naptimes are getting a little rougher. She realizes that she can sit up and pull herself up. Or stick her feet through the crib and wiggle them.

7 Months Old!

Weight: 18.75 lbs (81%tile)

Height: 27 in (73%tile)

Head Circumference: 17 in (55%tile)

She's doing great, and is a healthy little girl! She wears 9-12 month clothing, is not a picky eater, has a little scrunch in her nose when she smiles, cheeks so big I can gobble them every morning, jabbers wherever we go, and squeals with delight and excitement.

She's on the move too! She rolls all over, is scrunching up like a little worm to try and crawl, tries her hardest to sit up all by herself, but those abs still need a little more work ;) Gone are the snuggle days. She's a squirmer.

Long Lost Photos

I've been wanting to post these photos...but you know how it goes, I got busy then I just forgot...So better late than never! This is the day I went into the hospital, my last prego pic. Seems so long ago... Ugh. For most of the labor pics I was smiling - the ones where you know the hubby has the camera out, so you stop and shoot him a quick smile - but the other majority of the time is spent trying to "relax" through the contractions pretty sure I was thinking "alright tawni you can do this. here we go. oh geesh i'm going to be having a baby. ok ok focus...1,2,3,4,5, ugghhhhh" Here's our Halloween photo. Isla was a very masculine football. Basically it was cheap and it was a very warm bunting. Here's my BFF from college highschool 8th grade -Shaughnessy and her baby boy Ryon. They met us up at the HYPER field while Micah was playing an alumni Lacrosse game. Ryon gave her some lovin' Her cousin Kairie and Grandma Maisie giving Isla some kisses. Too cute ;) Micah's family got together for Mother's Day (now I can be in the mommy pic!!) Here's all the girls - minus Micah's other sister Brittany - I just love my in-laws. Hopefully I can start organizing and backing up our other pictures. Since Isla was born I feel overwhelmed with how many pictures there are! How do you guys keep your photographs organized??

So sick.

Baby Isla - Tuesday was by far the worst day you've had yet. We went up to Logan so you could wish Grandma Maisie a Happy Birthday but you started throwing up ALOT. We couldn't keep anything down you and you were MISERABLE. I thought that it was teething because you had cold like symptoms since Saturday afternoon. But vomiting is NOT part of the teething process I was assured from nurses, mommys, and google.

Mommy and Daddy had a rookie parent move - we kept trying to feed you a bottle of your formula, Aunt Ashley came to the rescue and told mommy that she needed to get some Pedialyte down you because it had been 9 hours since you had something to eat. Mommy and Daddy couldn't believe they never thought of that. Good thing we have some great advice around us. You drank it up and it stayed down - you went into a deep sleep after that.

The next morning you woke up after 12 hours of straight sleep SMILING. I was still worried because I didn't know what to look for after the spout of throw up. So I called our "on-call" nurse, Katie Marcheschi, who works as an R.N. at Primary Children's Hospital on the surgical floor. She gave me some great tips, watching for a wet diaper, poop, tracking your temperature, don't go too long on pedialyte alone, and to make sure to rush you to your pediatrician if you didn't keep anything down in the next couple of hours.

I was really worried. I felt so helpless. I held you all day long. I was in tears because I was so upset at how sick you were. But I'm glad you're feeling better. We love you and your smiles.

p.s. you now have some hair that a flower can clip too! yeah!

Travis, Grandma Maisie, Ashley, Ryan, Me, Isla, and Micah at Texas Roadhouse for my mom's birthday. The girls went and got some pedicures - i've taken a break ALL Winter from pedicures, it was heavenly.
Micah and I tested our marriage on Wednesday night. He let me cut his hair. Crazy right? I thought that it was a good idea, my sister had gone to cosmetology school and showed me one time how to do it on Micah. So Micah picked up a walmart kit and I dived right in...well until I made the first buzz, and thought to myself:
"This is a really bad idea. Wow that was a lot of hair. Oh my gosh, what if I mess up?? He has a meeting tomorrow, some appointments, if I mess up we'll have to BUZZ the whole thing... what was I thinking?!?!"
50 minutes later....

Micah still loves me. and I made him PINKY PROMISE that I did a good job and he wasn't just saying it because I'm his wife. He promised I actually did a really good job, and he was surprised himself.
